Information is collected in various areas of this site. This information is subject to different uses depending on where it is collected (per the description below).
1) Join the Club/Refer a friend
The information requested on the online SIMILAC® Welcome Addition Club enrollment and refer-a-friend forms is used to customize the materials provided by the Club and to fulfill Club benefits. Personal identifying information provided on the Club enrollment or refer-a friend forms will not be rented, sold, or exchanged with affiliates or business partners. Only 2 Abbott employees and 4 employees of the fulfillment company that assists with the management of the Club have access to this information. This access is strictly controlled, password-protected and available with the sole purpose of sending out mailings and creating statistical reports. In case of a promotion and/or problem, personal information may be shared with the Product Manager of the baby club at Abbott.
Occasionally, we may send Club members special offers throughout the fulfillment company on behalf of Abbott and carefully screened program partners. However, we do not provide these partners with personal information unless such program partner has obtained your consent for us to do so.
2) Cookies
As part of offering and improving our services, we use "cookies" to store and track some information about similacclub.ca users. When a visitor visits the site for the first time similacclub.ca sends a cookie that is used to track site traffic statistics. This cookie contains the visitor's IP address and a sequential number generated by the tracking software. It does not contain any personal identifying information. The information tracked by this cookie is reported in aggregate.
3) Children
We understand the need to protect children's privacy online (we define "children" as minors younger than 13). We do not knowingly allow children to register with us, communicate with us, use any of our online services or collect or use any personal information from children.
